Rosemount and Midstocket Men's Shed

RAMMS is a Mens's Shed where practical projects meet meaningful conversations. Whether you're building planters, maintaining bikes, fixing tools, learning new skills, helping in the local community  or just connecting with people.  We formed in early 2025 and now have 30+ members, and contrary to poplular belief we're not all retired!

We undertake practical projects - at the workshop which we redeveloped together with Bonnymuir Green Community Trust..  Over the last couple of years we've enhanced the garden and playground at Kittybrewster School, painted benches in Rosemount, Refurbished and built new benches and tables for Gilcomston School, built a bench and fitted out an office space for Cornhill Community Centre and worked on various projects repairing garden gates, building planters and benches for members of the local community.  In addition we undertake odd repair jobs around Bonnymuir Green itself.

We've also had talks on the Granite History of Aberdeen, the Clipperships, Night Photograpy, First Aid and the Ambulance Service, Cycle Maintenance, and Fly Fishing.

And we've been on a tour of Old Aberdeen, Trinity Hall, Nuart and the RNLI station, had a go at green bowling, rifle shooting, archery and curling.    We've had a go at making our own pottery, and we've been on various hikes/walks in the city and a bit further afield

But most of all we've made new connections and new friends, had great social events and continue to build a programme and suite of projects based on what members want to do.
